The Father of Modern Indonesian Property Development
Dr. (HC) Ir. Ciputra (1931–2015) was a legendary Indonesian entrepreneur and the visionary founder of Ciputra Group. Born in Parigi, Central Sulawesi, he revolutionized Indonesia’s property development industry by introducing the concept of integrated townships and mixed-use developments.
With an engineering degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), he combined technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision to create iconic developments that transformed urban landscapes across Indonesia. His philosophy centered on building not just properties, but complete communities that enhance quality of life.
Beyond property development, he was a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship education, establishing the Ciputra Entrepreneurship Center and University to nurture the next generation of Indonesian business leaders. His legacy continues to inspire innovation and excellence.
